Reason and Rhyme
2011

Reason and Rhyme brings together ten leading contemporary artists from Australia and New Zealand, as part of The Independence Project series. The exhibition investigates the idea of seriality, systems, directions and imposed structures across the creative process and explores the points where creativity meets these parameters. In keeping with the curatorial theme FOD challenged the traditional structure of a book, from front cover to back cover. Running in two opposite directions, the publication physically represents the idea of a delay system or echo, split into two, from Australia to New Zealand and back, playing with repetition, similarity and the rebellion and clash within these ideas.
